Fundraising

Kilmaley hurling and camogie clubs are ambitious to continue the development of our facilities at Lisbiggeen, the home of Kilmaley GAA. We are asking for your continued fundraising support in helping to create facilities that everyone can enjoy and take pride in, leaving a lasting impact on Lisbiggeen and on our community.

The vision

What does planned development look like at Lisbiggeen over the next 5-10 years? Our next phase of works could include resurfacing of the carpark, addition of a new upper carpark, a covered stand, floodlights, ball wall extension and gym extension.

How can you play your part?

Join 'The 360 Club'
The objective of ‘The 360 Club’ is to attract 200 members of our community to play a critical role in funding the next chapter of Lisbiggeen. Each individual/family will commit to contributing €30 per month to this fund for 3 years. This would equate to a donation of €360 per year and total €1,080 over the 3 year period. Under Irish Revenue rules, The Club can also claim tax relief at either 20% or 40% on donations made, if the individual donating is a PAYE taxpayer.

Donate a seat
You can donate a seat in our planned new stand. This will allow you to customise an engraved inscription with your name in the format, ‘Donated by Joe Bloggs’. This inscription will be permanently placed on a seat in our new stand. This option will be of particular interest to current and past members of our clubs who no longer play an active role in the club, people who want to honour a loved one that may have passed away, or even those living outside the parish or abroad. It is an ideal way for you or a loved one to have a place in a more permanent way at the core of our facilities at Lisbiggeen. The cost of this donation is €500.

Promote your business via our pitch-side advertising
We have a number of pitch-side advertising/business signage opportunities available at Lisbiggeen. This is a powerful way to support Kilmaley GAA while promoting your business. It ensures your products and services are always top-of-mind with existing customers in the community. It helps attract new customers by advertising to a footfall of 25,000 people annually and an additional 5,000 social media followers. It also positively positions your business at the heart of the community to potential employees.

Business signage options are as follows:
Option 1: 8ft x 3ft board, cost €1,200 plus annual social media promotion with other donors.

Option 2: 16ft x 3ft board, cost €3,000 plus twice-yearly social media promotion with other donors.
Option 3: 16ft x 3ft board, cost €5,000 plus exclusive social media spotlight and donors wall recognition.

What's the latest update?

Fundraising

Thanks to your generosity, the total net funds committed by you so far is €153,293* (44% of our fundraising target). You can see how this breaks down by the ‘360 Club’, ‘Business signage’ and ‘Donate a seat’ streams below.

*As you know, our 360 Club will stretch over a 3-year period with donations typically received on a monthly basis. The total ‘net committed funds’ is the total over this 3-year period, net of transaction fees and/or business signage costs.

Live projects

In late 2023, you helped us to identify a number of key priorities. Your top three priorities are; completion of the carpark and the addition of floodlights and a stand.

Carpark

The majority of work on our main carpark is now complete and the upper carpark is operational. Enjoy a quick overview of work completed below! The total cost to-date is €155k. We received a grant of €50k for this project leaving a balance of €105k which was funded by the hurling club (€68k) and fundraising income raised to-date (37k).

Floodlights and stand projects

Both these projects are at the pre-planning stage with work ongoing to prepare and submit planning applications by May 2025. Last September, we shared with you that we’ve already been awarded a €130k Sports Capital Grant for the installation of floodlights. There are a number of decisions to be made over the coming months including on stand design, size and location and on which pitch the floodlights will go. We look forward to keeping you up-to-date along way.
